In a world that stresses having more of everything, and that excess is where your worth and value come from, I can’t help but think that bigger is not always better. In fact, it might be the opposite. Sometimes, all that matters is who you’re sharing your time and space with.

Yesterday felt like the beginning of something great.

I was woken up this morning to the sound of a torrential downpour happening just outside our windows. It was pitch black and the whole bedroom felt cool, dark, and safe, exactly the kind of combination that makes it extremely hard to get out of bed.

After the week we had, it felt so good to spend a few days with family and friends.

This happens so infrequently that it must be documented any time it does.
