AKA our first night in our favorite city!

We’re currently sitting at the airport about to board a flight to Atlanta, where we’ll have a little bit of a layover, and then we’ll board our KLM flight to Amsterdam, our favorite city ever.

Remember a few weeks ago when we mentioned how an exciting new project was in the works? Well on Monday we revealed that we bought a little cottage here in town and have some pretty big plans for it…

We’ve been getting into a few vegan recipes the past few nights, which naturally led us to look up vegan pasta recipes. We found this one on the Tasty app and, because they make every recipe look impossibly delicious, we had to try it for ourselves.

Coming out is hard. But besides that, it’s also freeing, scary, exhilarating, emotional, and one of the most important things we’ll go through as members of the LGBTQ+ community. But there’s one thing that didn’t occur to us after we came out all those years ago…

Yesterday we went out to the river land, and even though it still feels like summer, it was 86 degrees (which is a respite from the 93 degrees it‘s been every day for the past four months), the wind was blowing, and the water wasn’t AS cold as it normally is…

After taking the foster care courses and having our first placement, we’ve realized more than ever the need for this amazing (and sometimes flawed) system. But how can we all help these kiddos more? What can we do that will make a difference? We asked our case worker, Rachel, what she thinks the biggest needs are for the foster care system and how we can all help, and here are her seven suggestions:

Today is the first official day of fall, and even though it’s in the 90’s today, nothing gets us more excited than the prospect of a new season, and especially when that season is fall.

And just like that, we say goodbye to working on the house that, for a while, felt like we would never finish.

Four years after we bought it, the renovation house we’ve been working on is almost finished, and it’s such a bittersweet feeling.
