A Very Good Day
Yesterday we went out to the river land, and even though it still feels like summer, it was 86 degrees (which is a respite from the 93 degrees it‘s been every day for the past four months), the wind was blowing, and the water wasn’t AS cold as it normally is…
If you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you know how much we love fall, but today we were grateful for the warm weather and chilly water. We took our shoes and socks off, stripped down to our underwear, and waded in the water for a while.
We’ve never seen the water so low before. Usually it’s too high to walk in, and the current is so strong it’ll carry you down stream if you don’t hold onto something, but today it was absolutely perfect.
We finished all our work for the day, except for one last meeting to finalize our taxes (we know, we know) in the late afternoon, so we felt zero guilt relaxing and enjoying the outdoors for a bit. Honestly, though, should one ever feel guilty about that?
