Feature Friday with Benjamin Katz
Happy Friday! On this week’s Feature Friday, Benjamin talks about what it was like growing up in a very orthodox Jewish community. He discusses how he felt constantly having to hide his sexuality, what he would say to those who believe homosexuality is a sin, and how free he feels today now that he can finally be his true self. His words really moved us, and we found ourselves inspired multiple times while getting to know him, taking in every word. We wanted more! Maybe he should write a book? Take a look below to see what we mean and to learn about Benjamin’s story…
What We Wore to Amsterdam
While we were in Amsterdam a few weeks ago, we kept getting so many questions about where we got our clothes, so we thought we’d finally sit down and make a post about the who, what, and where of our Amsterdam style!
A Small, Fall Tradition
When we first got together, we quickly bonded over our shared love of fall. It helped that we got together in August, right before the season began, but we also bonded over our love of something else, and it’s something we look forward to every year.
Feature Friday with Wouter Hinrichd
Happy Friday! In this week’s Feature Friday, Wouter (pronounced WOW-ter) talks about his internal struggle with coming out, even though his older brother had already come out as gay and was accepted by their friends and family. Read on below to find out more about Wouter and his journey with self-acceptance.
When He Knows You Too Well
Hi, Thomas here today.
PJ said something to me the other day that really resonated with me and, like most things in life, it was completely unintentional in the effect it had on me. Don’t you love when that happens, though?
Feature Friday with Jake Coffman
Happy Friday, friends! In this week’s FF, Jake talks about how it’s possible to be gay and a Christian, and why he didn’t want to confirm people’s assumptions about him being gay. It’s all very relatable and we found ourselves so invested in Jake’s words and story. Take a look below to see what we mean…
5 Ways to Get Ready for Fall
Fall is finally here!
t may still be hot outside, but you can’t deny the light is slowly changing and the temps are starting to dip just a little. Fall is our favorite season, from the food to the clothes to all the house cozies. We look forward to it every year, and this year we’re extra excited because we’re finally settled in our house, and it feels like we’ll be here a while. It feels like home.
So we thought we’d discuss five ways to get yourself and your house ready for fall. Let’s dive in.
Breakfast For Dinner: Yes or No?
PJ had a taste for biscuits and gravy last night and we had some biscuit mix that our friend Jen gave us forever ago, so breakfast for dinner it was!
When the Sparks Wear Off
We’ve all been there. You meet someone, they’re all you can think about, and you want to spend every waking minute with them. When you’re first starting out, this is how it usually goes. But what happens when you’ve been together for a while and the initial sparks eventually wear off?
Feature Friday with Garrett Fleming & Aaron Powers
Happy Friday, y’all! This week’s FF is a really special one. Remember when our dream came true earlier this year and our house was featured on Design*Sponge? Well, Garrett was the writer of that beautifully-worded article that so articulately told the story of Thomas’ childhood home, now our home.
Garrett and his boyfriend Aaron discuss meeting on Tindr, and how Garrett’s battle with cancer brought them closer together in a pretty short amount of time. We enjoyed getting to know them, and we think you will, too. Take a look below…
