When we started renovating Holiday House—our little farmhouse tucked away on our property—we knew we wanted it to feel like an extension of our main home: cozy, timeless, but also functional enough to host friends, family, and long weekends away from the busyness of life.

We cook so many of our favorite meals on it when we stay here—there’s something about the heavy-duty burners and large oven capacity that makes it feel like you’re cooking in a real chef’s kitchen, even when it’s just us making pancakes on a Sunday morning.

The gas burners are so responsive, and the oven heats evenly (perfect for cakes in the fall).

Tucked Away but Mighty: Microwave Drawer

We weren’t sure about a microwave drawer at first, but now we can’t imagine the kitchen without it. Holiday House has become one of our favorite places to spend time, and a big part of that is because the kitchen just works.
