Hey you

Welcome to our blog. Here you’ll find daily dispatches and all the musings of our family’s adventures in our small town as we raise our kids, fix up our farm, and renovate houses. Thanks for stopping by! We’re so glad you’re here.

It’s Lambing Season at the Farm!

It’s Lambing Season at the Farm!

Are you ready for cuteness overload?

We have a bunch of new lambs running around Ocoee Farm as of the last two weeks and we’re all in heaven listening to them baaaaaa and watching their skinny little legs wobble all around the hills as they chase after their mamas. As of this week, we have 7 lambs all together: 3 girls and 4 boys.

I can’t tell you how much PJ loves lambing season. He picks them up. He holds them. He kisses them. He brings them home. He helps deliver them (!). He loves everything about lambs and I gotta say, I can see why. Next to puppies and kittens, lambs are just about the most innocent, pure, loving babies imaginable.

The best part is, if you bottle feed them from birth or if you consistently hold them, cuddle with them, or show them affection, they become pretty tame. We have so many adult sheep who now come to us and let us pet them and rub them, which is a stark contrast to a lot of the others who run away from us as soon as we walk in their direction.

To add a little cuteness to the start of your weekend, please enjoy the poses these little lambs were serving all evening last night:

It doesn’t get much better than this!!
