Happy Friday night, friends! Any fun plans for the weekend? It’s going to be in the 90’s here, and unless you have access to a pool, there’s almost no reason to go outside. Today’s high was 92. Welcome to summer time in Tennessee 😑.
In other news, Disney+ released Hamilton today (!!) and we’ve been watching “Satisfied” on repeat since this morning. It’s even better than we thought it would be 😭. Have you seen it? After years of listening to the soundtrack over and over, it was neat to see the actors perform it live, the way it was intended to be enjoyed.
Because it’s Friday night, we turned on some Alabama Shakes and had a small dance party with little sis while we made dinner. Tonight we made cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, and salad and the boys LOVED the tomatoes and cucumbers in their salads! They had thirds. Y’all. These kids. We’re so blessed. Sis can be picky when it comes to food, but the boys eat anything, though they surprise us every time when they ask for more veggies. Right now they’re loving salad with olive oil and vinaigrette, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and of course, broccoli #4everandalways. We would have NEVER eaten that when we were their ages. Would you?
PJ made a chocolate banana bread last night (posting the recipe next week!) and it. is. everything. It’s moist. It’s delectable. It’s rich. It basically tastes exactly how you think it might, with a little bit of chocolate and hints of banana and all around deliciousness. After we tasted it, firing up the oven in 90 degree weather to make this was a nonissue.
We’re off for the night. Gonna head out to the land to let the kiddos run around for a bit, then come home, pour some wine, and try to find something on Netflix. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends. xo
