8 things I am looking forward to doing in 2023 to lead a happy and whole year.

Every year, I usually ask the question: “When do you start decorating for Christmas?” and receive a ton of responses from folks on every end of the aisle. This year, though, I’m asking you this question:

When do you actually take down all of your holiday decor?

The chickens at Ocoee Farm have been living in a make-shift chicken coop for almost a year now, and it’s been fine and okay. But not great and definitely not ideal. We’ve been planning to either buy a chicken coop or have one made for so long, and finally, this week, we had one built.

Happy New Year! How did you celebrate?

The last few days were spent cleaning up the farm and moving the chicken lot while the kids played on the hay bales.

Last night, we went to our friend Jen’s annual holiday party at her gorgeous house in Chattanooga. We went to her parties in 2017 and 2018, which feels like yesterday but also a lifetime ago. I’ve decided time means nothing anymore and that’s that on that.
