I know. Not the most upbeat question to ask, but it’s something that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately.

We went to the PO Box the other day, after not checking it for a few weeks due to traveling, and our hearts pretty much exploded when we opened it. Aren’t books just about the best gifts one could receive?

Spending more than a week at the beach left me missing home for one major reason.

It’s been a whirlwind couple of days here, which has left little time to do anything other than eat and sleep, let alone blog, but I’m popping in real quick with an update from this past weekend!

We’re home from spending a week at the beach, and as we made the drive back to Tennessee that we’ve made so many times recently, my heart was aching for the parents and families of the 4th graders who were murdered just the day before.

My favorite house renovator, ex-realtor and current dad of the year has a birthday today.

Since the sun rises around 6 am here, we woke up extra early this morning, before anyone in the house.
