The Crisis in Lebanon Isn’t Over

Over the years, one of the causes closest to our hearts has been supporting refugees through our partnership with USA for UNHCR. For nearly six years, we’ve used our platform to help raise awareness about people who have been forced to flee their homes because of war, violence, and persecution. Unfortunately, that need remains just as urgent today.

Recently, more than 850,000 people who were displaced by conflict in Lebanon have been able to return to their communities. On the surface, that sounds like good news, and in many ways, it is. Families are finally making their way back to the places they call home after months of uncertainty and displacement.

But returning home doesn’t always mean life can simply go back to normal.

Many families are finding homes that have been damaged or destroyed. Schools, hospitals, water systems, and electrical infrastructure have been heavily impacted. Some communities still face security concerns, and thousands of people remain displaced, living in temporary shelters, crowded apartments, or with relatives while they wait for conditions to improve.

What struck us most about this update is that a return home is often just the beginning of a much longer recovery journey. Imagine finally making it back to your neighborhood only to find that the basic services you rely on every day are no longer there. For many families in Lebanon, that is the reality they are facing right now.

As humanitarian organizations continue their work on the ground, funding shortages are making it harder to provide the support families need to rebuild their lives. That means continued awareness and support from people around the world remains incredibly important.
