Sunday with Mom

Keep: The kids went to church with their aunt early this morning, which left some free time in the middle of the day to head a few blocks over to my mom’s cottage to help her with a few things. While PJ went to the farm, I spent the afternoon with her putting together a few new pieces of furniture she bought (like her coffee table in the photo above from World Market. Isn’t it fun? Bonus: it’s on sale right now!), cleaning off her front porch, dusting her ceiling fan in her bedroom, and putting a few things away in the shed. It made me realize how grateful I am to live so close to her and help her out whenever she needs it. Admittedly, I don’t help out as much as I should, but after all the laughing and talking and just the all around good time we had today, I’m going to make a point to pop over more. These are the days you can never get back. I love you, mom.

Delete: The Olympics are over! We all had so much fun watching them the last two weeks, and I hate to think it’ll be four more years until we see the summer games again. LA 28’, we can’t wait for you!!!
